Do you want to live near the beach and feel its too expensive? I want to show you 10 condo complexes in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral that are all East of A1A and are selling for under $200K! These sales aren’t fluke sales, 1 condo that happened to sell under $200K; these all have had multiple condos sell in the last 12 months for under $200K. Besides being East of A1A, these condos are at least 1 bedroom and they all have pools to lounge by when you don’t feel like hanging out at the beach. Here are the 10 complexes to consider listed alphabetically
Atlantique condos is an ocean front complex located at 4800 Ocean Beach Blvd in Cocoa Beach between E Osceola Lane and E Pasco Lane. This 3 story condo sits on a 1.47 acre lot, was built in 1966 and has 74 condos ranging from 480 to 1000 SqFt. If you don’t like stairs, there is an elevator. If you have a condo on the 2nd or 3rd floor, you could have a peak at the ocean from your balcony (unless your balcony is on the west side of the building) If you want one of the eastern facing condos that is direct ocean, you will be paying over $200K for the condo. The Atlantique does allow 2 month minimum rentals and does not allow pets. There are some covered parking spots under the building. What I like about this condo is your location. You are a half mile from the great restaurants & bars at either the Cocoa Beach Pier or the end of 520.
The Diplomat condos are an ocean front complex located at 3150 N Atlantic Ave in Cocoa Beach. There are 185 condos were built in 1963 and are in the complex spread over the 5.5 acre lot in 21 buildings. Most of the condos are 2 bedrooms and 750 SqFt. There is an oceanfront building that have larger condos, but they rarely come on the market for sale and will cost more than $200K too. If your condo does not have laundry hookups, there is onsite laundry. You have a pool & a clubhouse. There are tennis courts, shuffleboard, horseshoe pits & bocce ball too. They will allow 2 week minimum rentals and are OK if you have a small pet. The Diplomat has a private beach access and is located in central Cocoa Beach. You are about 2 miles to downtown Cocoa Beach and 2 miles to the Cocoa Beach Pier. The bars, shops and restaurants off 520 are just over a mile away. Publix is almost right across the street from the condo.
Lamp Post Apt Condos
The Lamp Post condos aren’t ocean front, but you cannot get much closer to the ocean than you can here. Located at 7515 Ridgewood Ave between Tyler Ave and Polk Ave in the President Streets of Cape Canaveral. This 22 unit condo was built in 1968 and is on a .66 acre lot. Condos range from 364 SqFt to 546 SqFt and are all 1 bedroom condos. The association does allow one month minimum rentals and one pet too. Besides the pool, you do have shuffleboard and onsite laundry. Besides being right across the street from the beach, you are less than 2 miles to the Pier and less than 3 miles to Port Canaveral. You are also in walking distance to the Cape Canaveral Library & City Hall. When the city has FridayFest, it is held by the Library, so that is walking distance too. Also near by is Canaveral City Park (between Harrison & Monroe) which has baseball/softball fields and basketball courts.
Manatee Condos is located at 204 Adams Ave in Cape Canaveral is a cozy complex. The 12 unit complex is located on the corner of Adams and Poinsetta on a .29 acre lot. The 1 & 2 bedroom condos are between 518 SqFt and 750 SqFt and were built in 1963. This pet friendly condo will allow one month minimum rentals. You are about 6 blocks to the beach and have quite a few restaurants and bars nearby that include the Cape Canaveral VFW, Fannies Fried Chicken, Canaveral Meats & Deli, and DiLorenzo’s Pizza (the beaches oldest pizza place). You are a little closer to the Port (2 miles away) and the Pier is 2 miles away too.
Morgan Manor is located at 7801 Ridgewood Ave in Cape Canaveral and is similar to the Lamp Post condos…You aren’t direct ocean but you are pretty darn close to the beach. This two story condo is located between Monroe Ave and Jackson Ave in the Presidents Row and is on an acre of land. The 33 unit condo building was built in 1968 and consists of 1 and 2 bedroom condos that are between 600 SqFt and 874 SqFt. The complex allows 6 month minimum and does not allow pets. What I like about this condo is how close you are to the beach, Canaveral City Park (baseball/softball, basketball) close to the library & city hall and you are less than 2 miles to the Pier and less than 3 miles to Port Canaveral.
Ocean Park North & Ocean Park South
Even though these two condos are different condo associations, they are almost mirror images of each other. Located on Taylor Ave between Orange Ave and Magnolia in Cape Canaveral is where Ocean Park North & South can be found. Ocean Park North was built in 1964 & has 65 1 & 2 bedroom condos between 720 SqFt and 875 SqFt. Ocean Park South was built in 1966 and has 68 1 & 2 bedroom condos between 459 SqFt and 944 SqFt. Both condos are two stories, they both have similar balconies and patio areas, they both offer a huge center courtyard around the pool and common areas, have laundry facilities on the property and they both allow 3 month minimum rentals. The difference between them is that Ocean Park North allows one small pet and Ocean Park South does not allow pets. Ocean Park South also requires that you own for a year before you are able to rent.
What I like about both locations is that you are across the street from the library and close to Cape Canaveral City Hall. You are near the cities leisure service department, which is the racquetball, tennis, and shuffleboard courts (who knew shuffleboard was so popular). You are also a few blocks away from Canaveral City Park (baseball, softball & basketball). If you like to play chess, Cape Canaveral also has a large chess set that can be used. The condos are less than 2 miles to the Pier and less than 3 miles to Port Canaveral & the beaches are just a couple blocks away.
The Ridgewood Condos are located at 7605 Ridgewood Ave in Cape Canaveral between Tyler Ave and Harrison (Just north of the Lamp Post). This 37 unit condo complex is two stories and has 37 1 & 2 bedroom condos that range from 405 SqFt to 666 SqFt and are on over an acre of land. They allow 1 month minimum rentals and are OK with one small pet. The ground floor condos offer a small courtyard and there are laundry facilities on the property. Location is similar to the Lamp Post and Morgan Manor with the beach across the street and you are close to Canaveral City Park, City Hall, and the Canaveral Leisure Facilities. The condo is also less than 2 miles to the Pier and 3 miles from Port Canaveral.
The Starbeach Condos is a pretty large complex located in the Presidents Row of Cape Canaveral between Magnolia Ave & Rosalind Ave and Madison and Monroe Ave. There are 68 condos on over 2 acres of land that range in size from 672 SqFt to 896 SqFt that are 1 and 2 bedroom condos that were built in 1963. The community has laundry facilities on the property and allow 3 month minimum rentals and are pet friendly. Just like the other condos mentioned in the Presidents Row area, you have easy access to the beach; simply head east and your toes are in the sand! You have easy access to the Cape Canaveral parks and facilities that include the baseball/softball fields, basketball, tennis, racquetball & shuffleboard. You have great restaurants along A1A to choose from and you are 2 miles to the Pier & less than 3 to the Port.
The Villages of Seaport
The Villages of Seaport is a huge community and is probably the reason why they are always one of the top selling condos every year. Villages of Seaport has over 500 condos on the 33.5 acre direct ocean complex. The condos that were built between 1985-2004 are 1 to 3 bedrooms ranging in size from 626 SqFt to 1510 SqFt. They are either in a 2 story building or resemble a classic townhome (2 stories with main living area on ground floor and bedrooms upstairs). The larger 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom condos sell for over $200K and the closer you are to the ocean in the complex, the higher the price too. Here is what this community has to offer: This is a gated community with a private beach access. You have 3 community pools, a clubhouse, tennis courts and racquetball courts. The association allows 1 month minimum rentals and 1 small pet too. You are exceptionally close to the Port and Jetty Park & are about 2.5 miles from the Pier. Since the Villages of Seaport is at the north end of town, this makes it easy to get to if you are using the condo as a second home & fly into the Orlando Airport (MCO is about 45 minutes away).
As you can see, there are some affordable options that are near the beach for you to choose from. These are only 10 of the complexes that have condos sell for under $200K. There are others that might not have a pool or are on the west side of A1A that are available too.
