The Fat Donkey in Cocoa Beach

This #MuralMonday is for the Donk! Every beach-side community has at least one great ice cream place & the Fat Donkey is the one in Cocoa Beach! How can you tell it’s a good ice cream shop? People lining up on a winter evening for their ice cream fix!

The ice cream shop is located at 247 Minutemen Cswy, right across from the CBPD & next to the Tiny Turtle. They offer a decent selection of quality ice cream flavors, sorbets, soft serve ice cream, shakes, floats and several specialty items: baked jars (cinnamon streusel, s’mores, caramel turtle brownie or strawberry shortcake) and smashers (a waffle cone with soft serve vanilla, strawberries, and a slice of cheesecake or key-lime pie). They do have Gluten Free and Vegan options too! The link below will take you to their menu. #DoItForTheDonk

While you are standing at the window trying to decide what treat you are getting; make certain to check out the mural that is on the storefront. This is another great piece of work done by David Rothman. After you get your ice cream treat, stroll around downtown and check out some of the other murals that David has done (Coastal Produce, Jazzy’s Mainely Lobster, Downtown Mainstreet to name a few).
