I am pretty sure if you live in Cocoa Beach or have visited our great little city the last few years, you probably hit the beach at the end of Minutemen Causeway to visit either Coconuts or the Beach Shack. As you were leaving the beach, you had to have seen this fantastic Turtle mural that is on the east side of the Fat Kahuna Restaurant that was painted by Mike McCloskey. If you don’t know, Mike is also known as the Artist by the Sea and he has been creating murals on storefronts and car dealerships throughout Brevard County and the state. He also has a studio in Indialantic at 130 5th Ave, Indialantic, FL 32903. Ok, I know you have seen the mural, but have you tried the restaurant? The Fat Kahuna is owned by Dewey & Kat Siljestrom and is an amazing Hawaiian themed restaurant. Dewey started out as a local, growing up in Cocoa Beach, who always dreamed of living in Hawaii. He made that dream come true and also traveled the world looking for that perfect wave.
