Happy Monday everyone! If you have been to a Friday Fest in Cocoa Beach (now being rebranded as Third Friday), the Cocoa Beach Art Show, or just about any other event in downtown Cocoa Beach, you’ve seen this weeks edition of #MuralMonday located at 301 Minutemen Causeway.

If you have yet to see these paintings, you should get to Downtown Cocoa Beach soon to see the entire piece of work. The building is currently vacant, in need of work (actually looks like they could be putting a new roof on) and is also for sale.(If you are interested in purchasing a commercial property in a prime location, I would be more than happy to introduce you to the listing agent.)

I remember growing up, this building was a body shop for a very long time. In the past few years, I have seen a variety of other businesses in here that include a sign shop and this was the original location of Secrets of Cocoa Beach. Hopefully, the current or next owner will be able to keep the murals on the outside of the building after the work has been done and new businesses have opened.

The artist who did this mural has done a few other buildings here in Cocoa Beach; is David Rothman.If you are not familiar with his work, David has also done the Downtown Mainstreet mural on the Diamond Castle on S Atlantic Ave, Jazzy’s Mainely Lobster, and the Fat Donkey (he has others too) You should definitely check out his website www.drothmanart.com and follow him on Instagram too www.instagram.com/davidrothmanart
