Planning a move to Florida and Melbourne keeps popping up on the radar? Since Melbourne is Brevard County’s 2nd largest city and is divided into 5 zip codes; I thought it would be easier to break down each area on its own. This post is all about the 32934 zip code.
Located in the center of Melbourne you have 2 zip codes…32934 & 32935…they share Wickham Road as the boundary separating the two. 32935 is the east side and 32934 is the west side. The western boundary is basically the St Johns River. The north boundary is just south of the Home Depot with the southern boundary Ellis Rd.
If you are looking to live in the 32934, it is predominantly houses. There are a couple condos & townhomes. There are a dozen or so apartment complexes. There are some manufactured home communities. Everything else is single-family homes.
Homes range from the early 1900s to brand new. There are over 5600 homes in the 32934. Most were built from 1990 to 2022. Here is the breakdown from public records

Just like any city, the 32934 has areas that are in a homeowners association and areas that are not in an HOA.

If you are looking for space or acreage, you should definitely consider the 32934. Over 1800 of the single-family homes are on an acre or more of land. 725 +/- of these are in an HOA (Windover Farms of Melbourne) and you have your rules. The remaining are not in an HOA and I have seen horses, chickens, goats, and other farm animals in their yards. (Of course, you should confirm with either the city of Melbourne or Brevard County on what is actually allowed)
What I like about this section of Melbourne is that it feels like country living with all the conveniences of the city within a few minutes of your home. There are 2 Publix, 1 Aldi, 1 Walmart Neighborhood Market, and 1 Super Walmart. There is a Home Depot nearby. You have an assortment of restaurants along Wickham & Eau Gallie and you are very close to other places to eat throughout Melbourne. Schools for the 32934. Depending on where you are, here are the schools available:
Elementary Schools: Sabal, Longleaf, Roy Allen, or Croton
Middle Schools: Johnson or Central
High School: Eau Gallie or Viera

How’s the neighborhood/area??? That is a question that I hear all the time and it’s a question I cannot answer directly. First, I believe this is 100% a personal preference and we all have different tolerance levels. Areas I feel safe or that it’s a nice area, you might not be comfortable in…Vice versa too…areas you love, I might be locking my doors…Always do your recon and research to see what you think of an area. Call the local police department or sheriffs office and ask them. There are also plenty of resources online to see what is being said. Here are 2 different sites with info on the 32934
Hospitals & Doctors
Melbourne has several hospitals that are all fairly close to the 32934 area. Melbourne Regional is on Wickham just north of Ellis Rd. You have Holmes Hospital further east towards the Indian River. You have Health First in Viera. There are doctor offices up and down Wickham and Emergency care/Walk-in Clinics throughout Melbourne.
Work drive time
If you are stationed at Patrick Space Force Base, you have an easy drive! Just head north to the Pineda Causeway and then east to the South Patrick Drive exit for the south gate
If you are working at or near the Melbourne Airport, you have an easy drive! This includes L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.
The Space Center would probably be an hour’s drive (+/-)
Port Canaveral is 35 to 40 minutes depending on where in Melbourne you live and the traffic.
